Turbulent conditions…

21st December 2024

Overnight and early this morning the freezing level climbed to around 1500 metres with some heavy rain showers, quite a turbulent period. The strong West-South-Westerly winds continued through the day with the freezing level lowering to around 900 metres. Lighter precipitation fell and snow over the higher summits.

Looking at Stob Coire nam Beith on the right with Church Door buttress seen on the left just left of some snow, Bidean nam Bian summit is just beyond this.
