‘Happy New Year’ and with new snow falling.

1st January 2026

Last night and today snow showers fell mainly above 300 metres, currently these new accumulations are not deep or extensive but none the less most welcome and with more forecast. Midday summit temperatures were around minus 5 degrees celsius. The winds were fresh, strong over the higher summits from the North-West.
