Poor visibility this morning brighter spells later.

24th January 2026

Overnight and this morning scattered precipitation which fell as light snow mainly above 750 metres with rain and mild conditions at lower elevations. The freezing level was around 800 metres. Winds were variable but mostly East-South-Easterly. Another morning in the white room as the visibility was much reduced.

At around 670 metres this morning on Meall a’ Bhuiridh.

 

Same as above but at slightly higher elevations.

 

Gearr Aonach and Aonach Dubh with Stob Coire nan Lochan in between a rain shower was passing through at this point.

 

Looking into Stob Coire nam Beith.

 

The Aonach Eagach ridge.

 

A bit brighter in the afternoon looking at the west face of Aonach Dubh, Stob Coire nan Lochan and Bidean nam Bian.

 

Meall a’ Bhuiridh trying to clear.
