Whiter than white mountain tops…

16th February 2026

The high summits are plastered with riming ice and look whiter than white which is quite stunning. Scattered snow showers overnight mainly above 700 metres. This morning was predominately dry with light to moderate West to North-Westerly winds the afternoon brought more isolated showers with light snow falling mostly above 800 metres. Visibility came and went with the higher summits generally cloud covered. The freezing level was around 750 metres.
