Glorious conditions…

19th March 2026

After the cooler overnight temperatures it was a glorious day, light South-Easterly winds with plus 4 degrees celsius on the higher summits. The snowpack re-froze last night and the snow surface is very firm and icy so crampons advisable if traveling on snow otherwise the consequences of a slip or slid maybe serious with long run-outs.
