Windy and wet initially.

29th March 2026

A period of heavy rain, sleet and hail affected the area this morning as the freezing level rose briefly above the summits. Cooler conditions later returned with some heavy snow showers affecting higher slopes. Outlook remains unsettled with frequent and occasionally heavy snow and hail showers expected, although these becoming lighter and less widespread through Monday afternoon as a ridge of high pressure builds from the West.
