Getting a bit thin!
2nd April 2017
The recent wet weather has severely depleted the snowpack and unleashed widespread rockfall on steeper craggy ground.
An arc of ‘dirty’ snow to the right of the main North face of Clach Leathad suggests quite a hefty rockfall.
Rockfall and impending cornices on the Clach Leathad/Creise ridge.
The dark bulk of Stob Dearg (beyond Stob a Ghlais Coire) showing remarkably little snow on its North-Easterly aspect.
Little snow on the South flank of the Aonach Eagach ridge (on skyline)
The beautiful parabolic silhouette of the Lairig Gartain looking South-West towards Glen Etive, with little snow left on Stob Coire Altruim on its South-East side.
