Sunday Best!

The mountains were definitely wearing their ‘Sunday Best’ today – It was absolutely awesome out there. This was ‘Third Time Lucky’ for me as I’ve travelled over from the East three times in the last month to work and on the previous trips I’ve been soaked to the skin, blown over and generally abused with no view whatsoever. It just shows that as a mountaineer you have to persevere and eventually you are rewarded….
Two apologies  – one for the water mark on the camera lens (that I didn’t spot!) and secondly – apologies for all the photos – I can’t decided which ones to leave out!

This amazing wee lad (10 yrs old) has just completed his first winter climb – what a perfect day for it.

Two lovely gents from Edinburgh who were completing the round of the SCNL ridges.
Stob Coire nan Lochan – not surprisingly it was an extremely popular climbing destination today.
Two climbers who had just ascended Broad Gully, descending down the East ridge of SCNL.
Some cornices at the gully exits. Foot steps sensibly avoiding it on the left.
Single point releases. Roller balls on a sunny aspect.
