Glen Coe on Christmas Eve

24th December 2019

Overnight, precipitation fell as light wet snow mainly above 950 metres this gave way to lighter rain and sometimes drizzle during the day at most levels.   Winds were light from a South-Westerly direction with the freezing level at around 1000 metres.

I was quite misty driving up through the glen this morning this photo is looking into Stob Coire nam Beith with An-t-Sron on the right.

Misty and clouds hovering the Aonach Eagach ridge.

Brighter conditions further up the glen, looking towards Stob na Doire and Stob Coire Altruim.

Stob Dearg on the left leading into Coire na Tulaich.

The snowy summit is Meall a Bhuiridh with Sron na Creise on the left.

Northerly aspect of Stob Dearg (Buachaille Etive Mor).

Looking westards through Glen Coe.
