Misty and getting milder.
5th February 2020
After yesterdays lovely bright conditions today was bit disappointing, it was quite misty will some light drizzly rain on occasions. The freezing level was slowly rising to above the summits leaving the snowpack moist at lower elevations and a bit firmer but moist above 950 metres. Â It looks like this trend is set to continue tomorrow.
The snowpack is slowly starting to thaw and consolidate. Snowpack stability is generally good, localised instabilities persist on steep North to Easterly aspects mainly above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
