All change

21st March 2018

Yesterday was cold and sunny with light winds. Today was warm, wet and windy although the effect of windchill was still very evident higher up.

The snowpack is becoming softer and moist at all levels as the temperature rises. The rocks now look black but snow loss so far has been very minimal.

Stob Coire Raineach from the South.

The raised footprints which we showed on Monday’s blog still remain. The snowpack is now too wet for further wind erosion at this height (750 metres).
