Cloudy with drizzle.

6th April 2017

Today has been generally cloudy with some light drizzle, winds at summit level were fresh from the South-West and summit temperature of 1.6 degrees celsius @ 1100 metres. The remaining snow cover in generally well bonded and stable albeit limited in extent.

General situation (synoptic overview)

Western Highlands will be cloudy with some light rain/drizzle its possible some precipitation  will give a light dusting of snow above 1000 metres as the air temperatures drops below summit level. The freezing level will around 3000 metres.

Outlook for the next 48 hrs

The weather story remains the same with some light rain or drizzle across Western ranges, but much more dry and bright conditions elsewhere. Through Sunday afternoon it will become cloudier everywhere with rain arriving from the North-West, this turning to snow across the tops.
