No viz – again!

5th January 2018

I’ve not had much luck with the visibility this week – haven’t had a decent view for days!

We’ve also had a bit more snow down than expected with some deep accumulations now present. Fairly arduous trail breaking required if you are out on your own.

There’s no more precipitation in the forecast but the winds are going to increase which means that there is going to be significant drifting. Have a look at the report if you are planning on going out in the area tomorrow.

No viz means no mountain conditions shots – Having to be inventive again…Sorry!

Met one brave soul out in the wind and the snow – well equipped for the conditions though

Everything became encased in ice today. Definitely a two pairs of gloves day…

The cloud lifted slightly in the afternoon

Definite new snow line on Sgorr nam Fiannaidh

Good to meet you as well, and hope you been getting out the past few days now that visibility in Glen Coe has somewhat improved.
