What winter should be like.

14th January 2017

I was a lovely cold day with snow down to low levels. There seemed to be plenty of people out enjoying the conditions. In my opinion this is what Scottish winter should be about. Unfortunately the weather gods seem to have different ideas, with a return to mild damp conditions expected overnight tonight.

I have never seen the laybyes at the top of the glen as busy with photographers as they were this morning. So as not to feel I had missed out, I also found a space to stop and take this picture of the Buachaille.

Clach Leathad looking pretty scoured.

Looking North West towards Ben Nevis.

I met a number of skiers who had skinned up to the top of the hill. They said the snow was nice if a bit limited in extent.
