Today was not as bright and clear as yesterdays lovely conditions, however it remained mostly dry with just the odd drizzle but not much to see at high elevations. Winds were fresh West-South-Southerly and strong over the summits, the freezing level was at around 900 metres at midday. Verglas was a hazard on many of the approach paths this morning but this will thaw as the freezing level is forecast to rise above the summit later this afternoon.
