Coire na Tulaich avalanches engulfing approach path – WORTH A LOOK!!!

The following photos show two avalanche events crossing and engulfing the main approach/descent path for Buachaille Etive Mor. These graphically emphasise the importance of careful route planning for both ascent and descent after climbing when the guard may be lowered.
Event 1 – Avalanche debris trail from col down Coire na Tulaich – debris has engulfed the approach path. 
Event 2 – Looking down on avalanche debris from Western ridge of Coire na Tulaich – debris crosses the approach path.

Todays pit site high on the Western ridge of Coire na Tulaich – shows start zone for Event 1. Small part of crown wall visible.
