What a difference a day makes. Yesterday was a contender for my least pleasant day on the hill this winter. Sunshine, light winds and some fresh snow made today a contender for the most pleasant day on the hill this winter. Â There was some fresh snow overnight. Where this has accumulated to any depth this snow is quite unstable, there were a few small natural avalanches which released in core rims. However, the fresh deposits do tend to be shallow.

In a lot of areas the fresh snow is quite shallow, You can see that these tracks have scraped the fresh snow off and are down to the hard underlying icy snowpack
