Strong Easterly winds continue

6th January 2016

We continue to get the tail end of the Easterly airflow which is bringing so much snow to the Southern Cairngorms.  Still rather patchy snow cover here, but it felt very wintry above 800 metres with heavy riming on everything from the grass to ski centre notices.

Winter seems to have penetrated back down to the West end of the glen - fresh snow on Stob Coire nam Beith

Its a sign! Heavy riming on the 'Flypaper' sign at Glencoe Ski Centre.
