A misty, moisty day

6th January 2017

What a difference 24 hours makes – the temperature at the pit site was 8 degrees celsius higher today than yesterday.  Some softening in the surface of the remaining snow but plenty of evidence of the rain water running down the surface of the snowpack because it is so consolidated.

Stob Coire nan Lochan, in the mist – Broad Gully still complete

The area of the pit site on the Eastern aspect of the corrie

A flavour of the day – remaining misty but drying up into the afternoon
