Murky day.

8th February 2017

Conditions in Glen Coe were quite different from neighbouring Lochaber today. It was a cloudy murky day at higher levels, but with light winds. The snowpack felt quite different here to that in Lochaber. The Glen Coe hills are looking pretty white after the snowfall of a few days ago. Most of this snow fell on unfrozen ground, so winter conditions are not not yet great. However, it is meant to say cold for a few days yet, so hopefully things should improve.

There is not yet enough snow for the ski area to run the upper lift. There were a number of ski tourers out and about. There was some quite nice skiing in places, but lots of rocks lurking.

Buachaille Etive Mor disappearing into the cloud. It remained cloudy at higher levels for most of the day.
