Snowy day

Overnight snow transformed the look of Glen Coe.  The snow was down to village level first thing in the morning and although it thawed slightly through the morning it was still looking wintry at lunchtime.  The snow had come in on a wide variety of aspects in the shifting wind and was thigh deep in sheltered places although there was still plenty of rocks showing through in others.

Drifting was evident and the snowpack prone to cracking on many aspects

Though the snowfall had been quite heavy in places, there’s still a way to go before the rocky skirt below the crags gets filled in
