The Calm before the Next Storm.

24th February 2017

It was a relatively calm and settled day in Glen Coe today. Driving down the Glen in the early afternoon it started to rain, as the next storm approached. Looks like being pretty wild weather wise overnight and during tomorrow morning.

Mushy footprints. The ground underneath the snow is not well frozen, and in many areas is pretty damp.

The FlyPaper and SpringRun runs on Meall a Bhuiridh looking a bit on the rocky side.

Atmospheric Glen Coe this afternoon just before the next band or rain/snow reached the area.

Changing wind direction have deposited, and then partially eroded the snow from this area to leave these blobs of snow. The variable winds have led to quite a complex pattern of windslab distrubution.
