Wet and Windy

17th December 2017

Today, rain fell to the summits in Glen Coe it was also very windy this combination has depleted the snow cover. However, there is still plenty of snow at higher elevations where the snowpack has started to consolidate.

Rivulets on snow melt running down the north face of Aonach Dubh this morning. Note the wind blowing the water back up hill – gives you an idea what it might be like on the hill!

Plenty of snow melt coming out of the coire.
