Pretty dreich in the main

12th January 2019

Last night, it was mainly dry and the freezing level lowered to around 1000 metres. Today was particularly wet at lower levels with poor visibility, light deposits of new snow fell mostly above 970 metres, this soon started to thaw as rain and a rise in freezing levels arrived in the afternoon. The winds were strong from a West-North-Westerly direction.
