What a difference a year makes…

24th February 2019

It was a clear night and at higher level there must have been a bit of a frost as watercourses had small amounts of ice on them and the snow surface was hard and icy.

I happened to notice that a year ago today had also been clear day and I had also taken pictures from the summit of Meall a Bhuiridh. The difference is quite significant, no prizes for identifying which pictures are from today, and which are from this day last year!

Icy forming on a seepage line. It was quite cool overnight at higher levels.

Sunlight reflecting on the icy surface of the snowpack.

Nice light looking to the South

Looking North to Ben Nevis.

The same view (although zoomed in a bit more) on this day last year.

Clach Leathad today.
