Great weather in the Coe.

31st March 2019

Today was a stunning weather day in Glen Coe. There had been a bit of a frost overnight, so the snowpack was quite firm. Through the day it softened where it was exposed to the strong sunshine. Good to see the carparks full and lots of people out and about in Glen Coe today.

The Buachaille looking very pleasant.

The slope just left of the ridge up onto Creise. This often has a significant cornice on it, but most of it has gone.

Ice. It was cold overnight and the snowpack was pretty firm this morning. It was softening through the day where exposed to the sunshine.

Tracks from yesterday. The snowpack was quite soft yesterday, and people were obviously sinking in a fair bit. This was not the case today (to at least during the time I was on the hill).

Creise with the Lochaber hills in the distance.

Clach Leathad with some of the Glen Etive Munros in the distance.
