Snow showers and Westerly winds

Snow showers became heavier this afternoon, these were driven on by strong Westerly winds. Remaining cold, dry overnight with snow showers and strong Easterly winds on Monday.

Exposed re-frozen older snow will be firm icy and unforgiving in the event of a slip, ice is also forming on rocks paths and watercourses, crampons and ice axe essential.
