Fresh snow

24th December 2021

A layer of fresh snow on all aspects above around 600 metres is covered by a thin icy crust caused by a brief rise in the freezing level followed by colder conditions today.

Not great conditions for photography as the mountains were mostly in cloud but a few shots showing conditions below.

A layer of fresh snow at the Glencoe ski area with a snow free Rannoch Moor beyond.

Limited visibility in the cloud on Meall a’ Bhuiridh.

Looking into Coire Gabhail (The Lost Valley)

The North side of Glencoe from the East during one of the clearer moments.
