Cold with sunshine and showers

17th January 2023

A cold Westerly airflow with sunshine and snow showers is affecting the area. New snow is forecast overnight and on Wednesday but amounts are uncertain, instabilities will exist in both old and new windslab and cornices will be prone to collapse. Where older snow exists on more exposed locations the surface is firm and icy with serious consequences in the event of an uncontrolled slip or fall.
