A very wet morning, colder now.
4th February 2023
A very wet and windy morning with the freezing level above all summits. The existing snowpack is stable and continues to thaw and diminish. Rivers were high with a combination of rainfall and snowmelt. The temperature has now dropped and precipitation has turned to snow above 700 metres. At least tomorrow looks colder than the last few days.

Stob Dubh, Buachaille Etive Beag, Still some snow remaining on this North-East facing slope at 850 metres.

Looking across to the other peak on Buachaille Etive Beag, Stob Coire Raineach, which is holding a lot less snow.
