Thaw conditions return
10th February 2023
After the fresh snow and colder temperatures yesterday, it was a return to thaw conditions today. Rain in the morning became heavier in the afternoon. The snowpack is thawing at all levels. Greatest accumulations remain in North and East facing corries and gullies, becoming increasingly patchy elsewhere. Drier but still relatively mild conditions for the next few days.

Looking the other way from a similar location towards, Stob Coire Raineach (925m), Buachaille Etive Beag. South-West facing aspects have only small patches of snow remaining.

Rainfall and snow melt meant streams and rivers in spate today. This is the Allt Coire nam Beithach.
