Happy New Year

1st January 2024

Happy New Year from Glencoe. New Years day was showery with strong South-Westelry winds. The strong winds gave constant drifting through the day, showers were snow above around 500 metres. Visibility was mixed, although poor when I was at the top taking photos. The winds change direction again tomorrow and become East-South-Easterly again. Snow in the morning will turn to rain below around 1000 metres in the afternoon.

Glencoe Ski area

A feature in the ski area known as the haggis trap. Cornicing on both sides shows the variable winds we have had recently.

Snow drifting in the strong South-Westerly winds.

Looking towards Creise front summit of Meall a Bhuiridh. This is as good as views got from the summit today.
